Founded on July 18, 1912, World' S Poultry Science Association makes it possible to include/understand and advance in all the fields of avicolous sciences and the industry of poultry farming.
Its paramount role is to encourage and facilitate the relations between the scientists, the teachers but also between industrial research and the various sectors of avian industry.
As an association with nonlucrative goal its resources come almost exclusively from adhesions of its members, even if industrialists of poultry farming everywhere in the world sponsorisent association while thus contributing to partly cover the costs of edition of World' S Poultry Science Newspaper (W.P.S.J.).
With a list of member important and international bordering the 7000, the objectives of the organization are put in front of various ways, energy of the organization of conferences and international congresses until that of various meetings dealt with either by the national branches of the WPSA (approximately 60) or and by the European Federations and Asia-Pacific.
Inside its federations, there are a great number of work groups and commissions covering the various aspects of sciences and avicolous technologies.
The diffusion of knowledge and teaching are the main aims of the members. All the members of the WPSA can take part in the world congresses and conferences which are taken place regularly like with other meetings concerning the various aspects of the production and avicolous science.
In return of their annual adhesion, the members receive the W.P.S.J published four times per annum. Its contents enjoy an international reputation, covering all the facets of the production and science in poultry industry. The reviews published in the W.P.S.J provide an information source without equivalent. The reader finds there also other information like lists of reviews, news on the various branches of the WPSA, the work groups and a calendar of world events including of the courses and formations.
